Wendell "Scott" Albertson, 66, of Evanston, Wyoming, passed away on April 23, 2026 after a short battle with an unknown brain tumor. He was born on April 27, 1959 in Evanston to Gary and Claudia Albertson. On May 4, 1985, Scott married the love of his life Linda Earley. They were blessed with two children: Kimberlee and Weston. Scott dedicated over 43 years to working in the pipeline industry. He lived a life defined by hard work, a love for the outdoors, and an unwavering devotion to his wife and children. He was always willing to help anyone with anything, and he could fix everything.
In his early years, Scott loved hillclimbing in the RMSHA race series, winning King of the Hill in Jackson in 1985. He found joy in everything in the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and dirt biking were some of his favorite activities. Many summer days were spent camping and boating with his family. During the winter season, he was often found snowmobiling or snowbiking with his close group of friends.
Scott is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Kimberlee (Mark) Nielsen and Weston Scott Albertson; as well as his sisters, Lori (Tim) Perkins, Jerri (Steve) Liechty, and Kathy Sherman; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Claudia Albertson.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm at Crandall Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at the Evanston Cemetery. All are welcome to attend.
