Terry Watson

Terry James Watson, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and true friend to many, was born on September 7, 1952, in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was the first of seven kids born to James and Shirley Watson. Terry passed away peacefully at his home in Fort Bridger, Wyoming, on September 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, and adventure.

Growing up in Green River and later moving to Lyman, Terry graduated from Lyman High School in 1970. He married the love of his life, Ada Hall, in April 1974, and together they raised two wonderful boys, Terry John and David.

Terry spent most of his career in the oil fields, working in places from Alaska down to Texas. He had a remarkable talent for crafting anything from scratch and was always eager to share his skills with anyone willing to learn. When he wasn't hard at work, you could find him enjoying the great outdoors-hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature were some of his favorite pastimes.

Terry is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Ada; their sons, Terry John (Angie) and David (Shannon); grandsons Corey, Kyle, Kenneth, Dylan, Torrey and Jacob; granddaughter Jaylynn; and nine great-grandchildren, with another expected in May. He will also be missed by his sisters Wendy (Gary) Conder and Trish Ellifritz, brother John (Penney) Watson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gary and Kevin, sister Lonnie, brothers-in-law Dan Moran and Jim Ellifritz, niece Kevina Davis, and a special aunt, Cleo Ann Glasspoole.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a graveside service on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Fort Bridger Cemetery. Prior to the service, there will be a public viewing at the American Legion Hall in Fort Bridger from 10:00 to 10:45 AM. Let's come together to celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of so many.
