Sydnee Ann Mower Kennedy passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and loved ones on March 16, 2026, at the age of 90 in Randolph, Utah.
Sydnee was born July 21, 1935, to Julia Ann Sanderson Mower and Peter Henry Mower, and was named after her Grandfather Sidney Willis Mower. She was the first of six children, and each of her siblings held a special place in her heart.
She spent her early years in Fairview, Utah with her cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. She had so many fun stories and fond memories of Fairview. She especially loved her Grandmother Sanderson and treasured her time with her.
The Mower Family moved to Woodruff, Utah when Sydnee was in the first grade. She lived with her family on the Deseret Land and Livestock Ranch and was her dad's right-hand man. She loved riding horses, going dancing, and spending time with her friends. As she got older, she helped cook for all the men on the ranch, although she joked her sisters are better cooks then she was because she was her dad's "boy" for far too long. However, her children and grandchildren would all agree her cooking couldn't be matched.
Sydnee was the loving wife of Franklin D. Kennedy for 69 years before his passing. Together, they built a family that was her pride and joy. She lived to be a mother and that was her greatest blessing in life. She devoted herself to her children and then to her grandchildren. She valued hard work and led by example. When asked what she would like to be remembered for her answer was simple, "I want to be remembered for the love and faith I have in my Family. I want my children and grandchildren to know how much I love each and every one of them."
Sydnee is survived by her children Gary (Jane) Kennedy, Steve (Linda) Kennedy, Larry (Wendy) Kennedy, and Julie (Kent) Whatcott; her cherished grandchildren; great grandchildren; as well as her great great grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Kennedy, parents Peter & Julia Mower, & sister Donna Muir.
