On May 3, 2024, we lost our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Ronald Dee Lacy, at his home in Lyman, Wyoming due to natural causes.
Ron was born on September 10, 1953, in Price, Utah to Earl Jr. and Mary Jane Robinson Lacy, the fifth child of eight children. While growing up in Wendover, Utah, Ron attended Wendover Elementary School and graduated from Wendover High School in 1972. Ron loved a game of basketball, a close football game, and was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He loved to go rock hunting and camping with his favorite dogs, Babe, and Little Bit. He had a passion for fine paintings and beautiful jewelry as he created beaded necklaces. He and Frances could be found riding their Harley Davidson throughout the country when they were not on a luxury cruise. Ron loved the Lacy family reunions, where he always had to instigate a water fight with the children.
While working in the Trona mines of Wyoming, Ron met and married his best friend and soulmate Frances Joann Lell in Wendover, Nevada at the old sheriff’s office of Earl Lacy, Jr.. Ron loved his grandchildren dearly and was always looking for a surprise to give them. He worked in the FMC (Farming, Machinery and Chemical) mine for five years and he eventually went to work for Tata Chemicals for thirty years where he retired.
Ron was a living kidney donor and donated a kidney to his father, Earl Lacy, Jr. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ron is survived by his children: Cameron Cory (Heather) Lacy, Laramie, WY; Richard Earl Lacy, Lyman, WY; Ashley Marie Jackson, Kalispell, MT, and Angie Wilson, Ogden, UT. Grandchildren: Lexy Marie Lacy, Max Jackson, Willow Jackson, Alliya Lacy, Laney Kufner, and Naomi Burketp; sister Robin Robertson (Terry Parker); sister Lorelei Barrera (Michael); brother Rick Lacy (Virginia), sister in-law Glenda Lacy, sister Terry Linares (Kenneth), members of the Lell family, and many family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Frances Joann Lell Lacy, his parents, brothers Scott, Randy, and Earl and other family members were there to embrace him into their arms. This is not a goodbye, as we will meet again. You may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. We will love you forever and always.
