Renee was a teacher in every sense of the word. Whether in the classroom, around the kitchen table, or in spontaneous late night conversations about family, faith, and the mysteries of life, she taught in the present with genuine interest.
A gifted musician and artist, Renee filled her home with music, color, and creativity. She wrote stories, poems, and painted beauty into ordinary moments. She was an avid reader and always learning.
Renee had a joyful, quirky love for food, Twinkies, sweets, fast food, and “everything but the turkey” on Thanksgiving. Her unique tastes became part of our family lore. She reminded everyone around her to savor life’s simple pleasures.
Her heart was especially tender toward those who struggled. As a guardian for the downtrodden, she had a gift for lifting people up. Renee treated everyone level, she offered comfort and love without condition.
Facing life’s challenges with resilience and humor, she taught her family that hope can always be found in each other
