Phillip North

January 20, 1960 — October 12, 2024

Midway

Phil North was born January 20, 1960, to Max and Betty North and died October 12, 2024 from multiple health issues at his home in Midway.

Phil was raised at the Midway Fish Hatchery where he met his best and life long friend, Bret.  He always said that was the perfect place for a boy to grow up at.  He attended school in Midway and Heber where he met his high school sweetheart Carla.  They were married May 30, 1980, and were later sealed as a family in the Salt Lake City Temple.  Together they were blessed with three beautiful children.

Phil's work life began at an early age milking cows, then spanned many years in the carpentry, painting, heating and construction business, ending with UDOT Maintenance.  He always joked that his mother would always tell him to stay out of the road and where did he end up working?  "In the road."

Phil enjoyed camping, hunting pheasant and deer, and fishing.

Phil led a simple life and had a simple but unfailing testimony of his Savior Jesus Christ.  His family meant the world to him.

Phil is survived by his wife Carla, daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Adam, sister Jeanne, and brother Kirk.  He is preceded in death by his two sons Michael and Daniel, parents Max and Betty, brothers Craig and Lee and in-laws Clarence and Kay.

In lieu of flowers, Phil would love you to just hug your family and friends and tell them you love them, or donate to a worthy cause.
