Norma Stevens, born January 31, 1936 in Starksboro, Vermont. Passed away peacefully February 14, 2026 in Oakley, UT. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service and dedication to family and community. She was the daughter of Ransom and Gladys Purinton. A bright and determined student. Norma graduated Valedictorian from Bristol High School in Bristol, Vermont. She attended Brigham Young University for one year before marrying DeeLynn Stevens of Oakley, Utah, on June 20, 1957, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Norma was an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and devoted much of her time to service. She participated in 4-H and was involved in the Cub Scout and Boy Scout programs. Her caring nature led her to work as a nurses aide at LDS Hospital. Later she worked for Federated Milk Co. She also worked as a teachers aide and as a rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She was preceded in death by her husband, infant son Howard, sister Joan, her mother and father, and Granddaughter Heidi. Norma is survived by her sisters, Barbara and Clara, her son, Dean(Tammy), daughter, Ellen(Korey), 10 beloved grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She cherished her role as Mother and found her greatest joy in her family. Norma will be remembered for her strength, kindness, faith and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Her example of service and devotion leaves a lasting imprint on all who knew her. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to all family, friends, neighbors, and her Hospice Care Team for their many hours of unselfish and loving care that was given to her. Funeral Services will be held in her honor on, Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Peoa/Oakley Chapel. 1224 W. State Road 32, Peoa, Utah. A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:30, with funeral services to follow at 12:00PM.Interment will be at the Stevens Cemetery, Oakley, UT.
