Millie Elaine Cantlin Stacey, age 69, passed away suddenly on June, 11, 2026, after a fiercely fought battle. Though her illness was difficult, she faced it with the immense strength and resilience that defined her entire life.
Millie was truly a force of nature-absolutely full of life, vibrant and deeply connected to the people around her. Her greatest joy and proudest achievement was her family, whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally. She was the anchor of her family, protective, proud, and endlessly supportive of her children and grandchildren.
She was married to the love of her life, Ernest G. Stacey in the Salt Lake City temple on August, 5, 1977. Together they built a beautiful life founded on deep devotion, friendship and shared dreams.
An adventurer at heart, Millie loved nothing more than going for rides with her sweetheart in the mountains, rock hunting for the next big boulder for the front yard, and taking awesome vacations to the many car shows and exciting new destinations. She lived for the time spent with the people she loved most.
Because she cherished every moment, Millie was rarely seen without a camera phone in her hand. She had a true passion for capturing and documenting every smile, milestone, holiday, and everyday moment. She captured a lifetime of love through her pictures leaving a visual legacy of joy they shared together. Though she routinely bugged her family by insisting on documenting absolutely everything-often to the soundtrack of loving groans and eyerolls- those photos are now our greatest treasures.
She is survived by her loving devoted husband, Ernest; her loving children Gina I Stacey Kinlicheenie, Vaugh (Stacia) Stacey, Brian (Sari) Stacey, and her cherished grandchildren, Landon and Zowie Kinlicheenie, Hunter and Elora Stacey, Aubree Albrechtsen, Payton and Barrett Stacey, Jonah Pope, Vada Griffin, and Riggs Pope.
She also leaves a large circle of extended family and dear friends who will miss her vibrant spirit every single day. She was proceeded in death by her parents William "Jack" Cantlin, Eurora Hysell Cantlin. Her loving brothers Danny Kay Cantlin and Gary Eugene Cantlin and her beloved identical twin sister, Nellie Ilene Cantlin. Though our hearts are broken, we find solace in knowing that the beautiful inseparable bond they shared since birth is now restored in eternity.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Millburne Cemetery, 991 County Road 217, Fort Bridger, WY 82933.
