Melanie Ann Blair, age 46 of Evanston, WY passed away on Friday, May 28th unexpectedly at her home.
Melanie is preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald and Betty Marshall, Milton and Doris Blair, and her father Phillip Blair.
Melanie is lovingly remembered by her children; Caleb, Quincy, Kiana, and Donessa. Furbaby; Kelce. Mother; Donna. Sisters; Michele and Miranda, Brothers in Law; Adam and Mikey. Nephews and nieces; Tyler, Dallis, Madison, Jackson, Karter, and Jaylee. Grandchildren; Ella, Huntleigh, and Kallen.
Melanie was a nurse by trade and it was the perfect profession for her. She was able to instill cheer and joy in her patients. She had an amazing touch that allowed her patients to feel comfortable and safe in her care.
Melanie had several passions that she took to the next level.
First, her love for the Kansas City Chiefs. On any given Sunday she could be found hanging around a TV, screaming and cheering as her favorite players ran up and down the field...especially Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce! She was absolutely over the moon in 2020 when the Chiefs captured the Super Bowl 54 crown.
Second, her love for her grandbabies, Ella, Huntleigh, and Kallen. Melanie insisted on being called ‘Amma’ because the title ‘Grandma’ was too plain for her wild spirit. She relished every second she spent with her grandkids. Nothing made her light up with joy more than seeing them smile and laugh!
Third, enjoying her free time being surrounded by her friends. She loved reminiscing on old memories and talking to anyone who was willing to listen. She danced, sang, and laughed throughout the night (and sometimes into the morning). She was an avid concert goer seeing her favorites on numerous occasions, Uncle Kracker, Kid Rock, Kenny Chesney, and many more.
Melanie was the life of the party wherever she went and had the most infectious laugh. You couldn't help but smile and chuckle when you heard it. She will be deeply missed by all her family, friends, and all who knew her!
A celebration of Melanie’s life will be held at 1pm on Friday, June 4th at the Knights Inn, 339 Wasatch Rd, Evanston WY (formerly known as the Howard Johnson).
