Marie Atkinson “PeeWee” Blair, 62, passed away March 18, 2022 in Salt Lake City following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on June 1, 1959 in Coalville, Utah to Alfred and Edna (King) Atkinson.
On June 11, 1993 she married the love of her life, Ricky Blair in Heber City, Utah.
She was an active member of the L.D.S. Church and served in the nursery for over twenty years. “PeeWee” loved to play city league softball and was still playing at age 53. She was an avid sports fan of the San Francisco 49ers, the Utah Utes, the Weber State Wildcats and the Utah Jazz. She enjoyed knitting and especially loved anything and any time spent with her grandsons.
She is survived by her husband Ricky, and a son Toby (Sarah) Abrams; a daughter Felicia (Clint) Jorgenson, two grandchildren, Rustin & Braxton Abrams. Her brothers, Wilby Atkinson and Scott (Tammy) Atkinson; her sisters, Maryanne (Mark) Peterson; Lilly Maughn; Shirley Jensen; Heather (Josh) Ferree and a sister-in-law, Lynette Atkinson.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles and Eddie Atkinson; and a brother-in-law, Bob Maughn.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Kamas L.D.S. Stake Center in Marion, Utah. Viewing will be on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday
Interment will be in the Francis Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
