Margaret Tysver

May 7, 1942 — December 1, 2017

Margaret ‘Peg’ Rose Tysver, 75 years, of Mountain View Wyoming, passed away Friday December 1, 2017 at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City.

In lieu of burial, Peg requested to be cremated.  A Vigil Service with recitation of the Rosary will be held Wednesday December 6, 2017 at 7:00 PM with a gathering of friends starting at 6:00 PM at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Fort Bridger, WY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Fort Bridger.

Peg was born May 7, 1942 in Rock Springs, WY to Daniel A. and Mary Jane Robertson Kelly. She was 7th child of 9. She lived in many places during her childhood but her fondest memories were living on the ranch in Burnt Fork, WY. She enjoyed her job with the forest service working in the bug camps and her secretary job at the Wyoming State Hospital.

She married Leonard Hysell on October 10, 1961. Together they had 4 children. They later divorced. On August 13, 1988, she married Duane Tysver. Duane brought 3 sons, Josh, Jeremy, and Jon, to her family.

She loved spending time with her family camping, hunting, fishing, rock hunting, bowling, antique collecting and digging through an old garbage dump. Regardless of the weather there was always an Easter Sunday picnic.

She loved dutch oven cooking at her beloved basin on willow creek. She had a fondness for animals and often took in strays. She was skilled in nursing any living thing back to health. She will be greatly missed by her neighbor's peacocks!

She was "mom, grandma honey, or grandma honey pooh" to many kids. She was notorious for her giant pot of chili and hot chocolate for an ice skating party on the smith's fork. She had the luck o' the Irish when it came to gambling or any kind of raffle. Her wonderful sense of humor made you be prepared for a practical joke. She was proud of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandson, Ryot.

Regardless of her health she always attended the Bridger Valley Relay for life. She was extremely proud of the fact that she whipped cancer four times.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Margaret Hysell; a great granddaughter, Cheryl Raeann Bail; a grandson, David Michael Hysell; sister, Violet (Bud) Pope; sister, Flo (Bill) Simco; sister, Irish (Chuck) Daniels; brother, Danny Kelly  and a brother in law, Larry Bond.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Duane Tysver; six children, Craig (Polly) Hysell, Lisa Branson, Angie Hysell, Jeremy (Sommer) Tysver, Jonathan (Katie) Tysver all of Mountain View and Joshua (Amy) Tysver of Dickinson, ND; four siblings, Nita Bond of Overton, NV, Pat Maroney of Newport, WA, Judy Whittaker of Robertson, WY and Mick Kelly of Mesquite, NV; 24 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
