Lovida Lillian Day, born March 30, 1933, in Denver, Colorado, graced the world with her vibrant spirit. On August 26, 2026, she peacefully spread her angel wings at home in Evanston, Wyoming.

In Denver, Lovida married Marvin Youngman and together they had four beautiful children: Debra, Jacob, Marvin II, and Chris. Her flair for life naturally led her into a career in cosmetology. Lovida influenced many during her years of teaching at Hollywood Beauty College.

In 1974, drawn by the allure of the oil boom, Lovida journeyed to Evanston with friends (friends, in which she cherished for her lifetime) and her youngest son, Chris. Her salon, Lovida’s, became a testament to her skill and passion until 1980, when her legacy continued under her daughter-in-law, Christy. In 1982, Lovida found true love with Lamar Day, sharing laughter, travel, and unforgettable experiences. After Lamar’s passing in 1989, she embraced life’s adventures as the beloved “Queen of the Gallivanters.” Her work with the Wyoming State Board of Cosmetology connected her with countless friends, all the while savoring her favorite sweets, good food, and a good scotch on the rocks.

Above everything, Lovida cherished her family. Her bond with her daughter Debbie was unparalleled, her connection to her sons (the ones in which she loved, but said she would never want to marry) was deep, and her pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was profound. Known affectionately as “Gram”, “Granny”, and “Grandma Love,” she radiated warmth.

Lovida’s compassionate heart extended to animals, her dogs forever at her side; Tangles, especially was the companion that spent the last 13 years of her life with and was at her side when she passed. She found joy in helping those in need, gardening, crocheting, taking drives, near and far, and trying her luck with the lottery (she was always going to "win big").

She is survived by her sons Chris (Christy)Youngman and Jacob (Cheryl Moranville) Youngman, along with her cherished granddaughters, Angel (Natalie Green) Youngman and Brenda (AJ) Randle, great-grandchildren, Deegan Michel, Jacklynn Randle, Madyson Green (Blakely and Brexlynn Green), Parker Green and Ashtyn Green; sister-in-law, Phyllis Fowler, nieces, Jodine and Jerry, and great-nephew, Cody. She joins her parents, her daughter Debra, her son Marvin, and her beloved Lamar in eternal peace.

The family would like to thank all of the people who loved Lovida, who visited her throughout her years, and most of all who cared for her.  Details for a celebration of life will be posted at a later date.
