Linda Sue Rosbrook

March 29, 1954 — April 26, 2026

Evanston

Linda Sue Rosbrook will be forever in my heart.  We have known each other for nearly fifty years, eleven and a half married.

Linda's life was often filled with obstacles, many she found a way to climb around, under, over and even tunneling through.

She enjoyed life with her many pets.  Linda loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, exploring, hunting, traveling, even to Israel to experience a once in a lifetime Holy Site.

Linda was an avid reader and always read to learn something new.  She had a thirst for knowledge which came out when you talked with her or swapped stories.  He phone became her book mostly to find topics and videos more readily.  She studied consistently on a topic till she found her answer.

Linda had a memory from politics to mechanics and anything that crossed her path.  She shared her knowledge in a way that to me was amazing.  How did she know so many thing, and remember names and events.  Her mind was amazing on how it worked.  She could have done anything in this world.  Linda chose a simple life, stayed grounded and believed in God and her country steadfastly.

Linda was a woman who was kind and caring, intelligent, thoughtful, respectful and truly amazing.  Linda did not like to be a part of drama which often kept her busy working on a project which brought her comfort.

Linda loved seafood, often talking about New Orleans.  Her favorite food next to that was simple, steak and potatoes.  Linda enjoyed cooking almost as much as eating it.  (She left the baking to me.)

Short and simple, Linda was unique, her life was cut short here but I believe God call her home for a greater mission.

Linda had another family who shared many memories and love.  Linda had three younger sisters, and three younger brothers.  Kathy (Dave), Janet (Robert), Barbie (Chuck, a dotting mother-in-law, Beverly Hensley and her step son Andrew Heilman.

Death is often thought of as our final destiny.  For Linda, I believe God chose her for a more important mission. She accepted her wings in the end because her faith and love of God was stronger than life itself.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston.
