Lenis Johnson Carlucci, passed away at home Wednesday July 28th, 2021, with her family by her side.
She was born October 25th 1934 in Park City Utah, to Elmer W. Johnson and Algie (Kirkham) Johnson. Lenis met the love of her life Daniel Carlucci whom she married January 17th, 1987.
Survived by her 3 children from previous marriage’s Debra (Albert) Grant, Tim Keyes, Brenda Eaglin and 9 stepchildren. 5 grandchildren; Vicki (Robert) Brierley; Michael Eaglin; Nick (NaCie) Grant; Shaylee (Brett) Gorringe; Brittany Melancon; Great- Grandson’s Wyatt, Waylon, Weston and Koda Brierley; Decklin Gorringe; great granddaughter Layla Grant; Sisters Polly Mitchell of Kamas; LaRee (Jay) Madsen of Salt Lake City; Beth (Ken) Jacobson of Upton.
She enjoyed her time as a waitress at the Jade Café in Salt Lake City in the 60’s. It paved the way for her to enjoy the gift to gabbing. She loved to visit at her hometown Kamas café, Liquor store (never purchasing liquor on her visits), post office and the chevron. She was a hard worker with numerous jobs supporting her family, making fortune cookies at Lang’s, a florist, Secretary at H&R Block and retiring at 65. She had a passion for having a beautiful yard and radiant flowers that was admired by all.
She loved traveling with Danny, they traveled to many places. Her favorite destination traveled numerous times was Hawaii. She had a love for all games from Yahtzee to Nintendo and taught her grandkids to play poker. She loved playing bingo, laying out by the pool and keeping everything neat and tidy. She enjoyed her time spent with her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved participating in any activities the kids where enjoying, baseball, football, basketball to easter egg hunts.
She was known for her honesty and opinions, nevertheless she was also well known for her heart of gold and will be missed by so many. She was known for her physical and emotional strength. This showed all the way to her last breath.
Preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Algie. Husband Danny Carlucci; 2 Bothers and 2 Sister in laws, Clarence (LaRae) Johnson; Elmer (Beth) Johnson; Brother-in-law Wendall Mitchell; Son-in-Law Albert Grant and numerous nieces and nephew.
The Family wishes to thank all those who helped and have been so kind. A special thanks to Corey Ann Blonquist for her compassionate care along with the whole Encompass hospice team.
Upon her request, a small private gathering was held in her honor at her home. A final moment to say goodbye will be offered to friends and family at the interment of ashes Sunday, August 15th, 2021, 4 PM Francis Cemetery. Direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
