Kristine P Batty

She did it! Kristine Pinder Batty, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend graduated from this earthly life Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Kristine was born on July 25th, 1951 to Craig and Phebe Pinder. She grew up helping on their family farm in Young Ward, Utah which instilled in her a strong work ethic and a great sense of humor. She lived a life of kindness and a beautiful carefree spirit that left a mark on all who knew her. She was blessed with the gift of gab and had the ability to turn a mere acquaintance into a lifelong friend, touching many lives with her warm personality.

Being a wife, mother and grandmother were her favorite jobs. She loves her sweetheart Wayne and considers herself very lucky that he waited for her. Wayne is the quiet strength to her chatty energy. They were able to serve a mission together on the Island of Kosrae in Micronesia, they loved serving the beautiful Kosraean people. They were also blessed to serve as temple workers for years. In her spare time she loved to crochet, quilt and play games.

Kris was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings in her lifetime. She had a beautiful testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ and a strong relationship with her Heavenly Father, she trusted Him to guide her life here on earth and now, that will continue on the other side.

Kris is preceded in death by her parents Craig and Phebe Pinder and her brother Curt Pinder. She is survived by her husband Wayne Batty, children Kimberly Turner Stewart (Brian), Kenton Turner, Bret Abbott (Lacey), Ginger Abbott Eales (Robert), Jonathan Abbott (Stacy), sisters Annette Ashliman (Larry), Janice Zollinger (Richard), Dixene Souter (Kent), Cheryl Pinder, 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

There will be a visitation from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, May 21, 2026 at the Laketown Utah LDS Church and 11:00-11:45 am Friday prior to the funeral service starting at noon. Burial will be in the Laketown Cemetery.
