Obituary

Kaliber Andrew Thompson, of Evanston, Wyoming, passed away on October 25, 2026, at just 19 years old. He was born on August 23, 2007, in Evanston, Wyoming, and in his far too short life, he left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know and love him.

Kaliber graduated from Evanston High School in 2025, an achievement that reflected both his determination and intelligence. He earned a 4.0 GPA and took great pride in his academic accomplishments. After high school, he went to work in construction for Clawson General Contracting, where he especially loved the opportunity to operate heavy machinery.

Kaliber will be remembered for his big, loving, infectious personality, his beautiful green eyes, and a sense of humor that could brighten even the hardest days. He had a quick wit, a contagious laugh, and a way of making those around him smile. Beneath his humor was an incredibly caring heart. He was always willing to put others before himself and loved his family deeply. He was a wonderful big brother, a cherished son, and someone whose presence made life a little brighter for everyone around him.

Kaliber found happiness in the simple moments that now mean more than words can express. He loved camping and hunting with family and friends and spent as much of his free time as possible with the people closest to him. Some of his favorite moments were spent driving around with his brothers, listening to music, and laughing with friends. Of all his interests, Pokémon held a special place in his heart, and playing Pokémon Go was one of his favorite pastimes.

He is survived by his mother, Jessica Thompson; his father, Andrew Thompson; his brothers, Kazen Thompson and Kesston Thompson; his grandparents, OraLee Bott, Jesse Bott, Lowana Thompson, and Richard Thompson; his great-grandmothers, Connie Bott and Marilyn Thompson; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He leaves behind a family who knew his love firsthand and who will carry his memory with them always.

Nineteen years was nowhere near enough time with Kaliber, but the love and memories he leaves behind will last a lifetime. His beautiful green eyes, his laughter, his kindness, and the joy he brought to those around him will never be forgotten. He was loved beyond measure, and he will be missed more than words could ever express.

Funeral services honoring Kaliber’s life will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at The Machine Shop in Evanston, Wyoming. A viewing will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon will follow the services. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Kaliber and to celebrate the love, laughter, and memories he leaves behind.
