Jennifer Michelle (Bluemel) Rosales was born on November 2, 1979 in Ogden, UT to Rex and Chris Bluemel. She was a fun little girl always wanting to hang out with her brothers and cousins. She was a good helper to her mom. Sometime during elementary school, a teacher had the students do a unit on protecting dolphins. From this experience Jennifer decided to be a vegetarian, no meat for her, she had to help protect the animals, this lasted through high school. Living in beef country she got teased a lot about it.
In high school Jennifer was a sports trainer for a couple of the teams and was a life guard at the school pool. She also enjoyed music and was in the school choirs. After high school she went to Western Wyoming Community College for a year.
She lived and worked in variety of different places and jobs. One of those was as a nanny in the east where she cared for two young boys. On her days off she would go experience New York City and other places in the area. She was there at the time of the 9 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. That experience led her to want to be closer to home. She was working in Colorado for a time and one of her friends who was living in California invited her to stay with her and look for work there, so she did.
She lived in a couple of different places in California. One was Canoga Park where she got a job working in a hospital and met Mike Garza. They were together for a time and had a son, Evan. They eventually split up. Jen and Evan lived with uncle LaVar and aunt Sandi for a time until she could get a place of her own. She ended up in Lompoc, Ca where after a few years met Sam Rosales at a church activity. After a short courtship they decided they would like to get married. On November 15, 2014 they were married in Lompoc. To this union Sam brought his two sons, Sammy and Joey. Sam and Jen loved their boys very much. Sam had always wanted daughters. Four years later Jen and Sams family was blessed with a daughter, Anabelle. A few years later they were blessed with, Eliza. Now their family felt complete.
Jennifer was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. One of her favorite callings was when she served with Sam as Ward Mission Leaders when they lived in Lompoc. Their whole family loved all the missionaries that came to the area and spent time serving and laughing with them, and feeding them. Jennifer loved serving others and doing special little things to brighten people’s days.
Jen was missing her family in Wyoming and wanted to move back. In 2022 they made the move. She liked being back in the place she grew up seeing familiar faces and meeting new people. However, she had become accustomed to the warm California weather and did not like the cold winters anymore.
Jennifer passed from this life to her heavenly home on June 2, 2024 at the age of 44, from the effects of a brain cancer. She was preceded in death by grandparents Lyle and Vay Apgood and Reed and Dolores Bluemel, and other loved ones. She is survived by her husband Samuel Rosales Jr, daughters Anabelle and Eliza of Lyman WY, sons Evan Garza of Canoga Park CA, Joey Rosales of Reseda CA, Samuel Rosales III of Lompoc CA , in-laws Samuel and Rosa Rosales of Reseda CA, parents Rex and Chris Bluemel of Mountain View, WY, brothers David (Bridgette) Bluemel of Laramie WY, LeVaughn (Cassidee) Bluemel of Mountain View WY, Alex (Kelsie) Bluemel of Payson UT and grandmother Barbara Bluemel of Washington UT.
