Harlan Worden passed away on Dec. 20, 2025 at Evanston Regional Hospital after a short illness. He was born in 1946 to C.L. and Lucille Worden in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He graduated from Mitchell (Nebraska) High School in 1964 then attended Western Nebraska Community College. At that time, he joined the National Guard and served four years. He worked in the plumbing and HVAC fields and started his own business in 1988. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed reading, listening to audiobooks, history, sharing his fishing adventures, watching all genres of movies, and football.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, parents, two siblings who died in infancy, and brothers Charles and Ronald. He is survived by his sister, Inabelle Traurnicht (Mitchell, Nebraska), brother Jaydee and husband Tim Held (Papillion, Nebraska), wife of 35 years, Kelly, daughters Sarah Shepard (Mt. Home, Idaho), Evelyn Blunk (Green River, Wyoming), son Elijah Blunk (North Canton, Ohio), grandsons Aiden and Ian Shepard, Zaden Blunk, granddaughters Kiara and Ava Blunk, and great-grandson Grayson Fryer.

A celebration of life will be held on May 2nd (final details will be announced at a later date).
