Gary James Roper passed away at home, in Evanston, on August 30th, 2026. He was born to Gary Bert Roper and Kathleen (Katie) Elaine Smith Roper Harsha on June 13th, 1978 in Laramie, Wyoming.

Gary loved All Things Hot, and grew his own peppers.  He also loved a good smoked cheese. He was an unofficial dog trainer, and all animals gravitated towards him.  Gary enjoyed working on cars, tinkering with electronics, photography, fireworks, and video games. He had a wicked sense of humor, and was crazy smart.  He taught himself to play guitar, and could take apart an engine, radio, computer all the way down to the bones, & rebuild it better than new.

He is survived by his parents; Gary B. of Evanston, & Katie of Adelanto CA, his two sisters; Katrina Brown of Adelanto CA, Carrie Blair of Port Townsend WA, his brother Cyril Gress of Austin CO, a niece (Lain), and two Nibblings (Sar & Cain), plus many Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins.

Per Gary's wishes, there will be no service.
