Elaine Buell Atkinson

Elaine Buell Atkinson passed away on March 1,2026, at the age of 70. Born December 2,1955 in Heber, Utah.

Elaine grew up in Heber with her 6 siblings. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She graduated from Wasatch High School class of 1974 and continued her education at Weber State College starting a lifelong career as a Registered nurse. She worked at Heber and Primary Children's Hospital where she dedicated her life to helping others before retiring.

She married Robert Larsen and had a son Kory Neal. They later divorced.

She married Roy Frank Atkinson and welcomed his daughter Trudy. Together with Kory they added daughter Tanya E to the family. They later divorced.

Later in life she started barrelracing. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends traveling all over the western US. She spent many winters in Arizona with her horses barrelracing and avoiding the Utah snow.

Elaine is survived by her children, Kory (Michele) Atkinson,Trudy (Dave) Smith and Tanya (Shane) Odenbach, as well as her brother Wayne (Kathy) Buell, Sisters Luanne Buell, Nina Gardner and Lynette Binggeli. She will be missed by her grandchildren McKinzie Richins, Ryan Atkinson, Allison Huggins, Emily Daniels, Garrett Smith, Hadley Odenbach and Talon Odenbach. She also left behind her beloved horse Popeye, and dog, Mac.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Elouise Buell, her sister, Charlene Hansen, her brother David Buell and ex husband Roy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 11,2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Oakley Red Barn 4200 S SR 32 Oakley, Utah. Graveside follows at the Heber City Cemetery. The family requests flowers be sent to Tanya's home address. 155 W Lambert Ln Kamas, UT 84036.
