Emblem

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas Dee Winner, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, who left us on October 5, 2025. Doug was born on January 21, 1983, in Rawlins, WY, and he spent most of his life in Evanston, WY.

Doug was a proud member of the Army Reserve from 2001 to 2003, and his dedication to service was just one of the many aspects that made him stand out. He excelled as a welder at Union Tank for nine years, where he was respected by his colleagues and known for his strong work ethic. Whether he was welding, working with his hands, or enjoying his time outdoors, Doug put his heart into everything he did.

His true joy in life came from spending time with his family, particularly his son Shane. Doug loved hunting, fishing, and all sorts of outdoor adventures that brought a smile to his face. He cherished every moment he could share with Shane, creating a bond that will be remembered forever.

Doug is survived by his loving mother, Linda Winner; father, Peter Winner; his son, Shane Winner; brother, Ryan Winner; 7 uncles and spouses, his grandmother Dorothy Harker and many friends. Each of them carries a piece of Doug in their hearts and will forever miss his vibrant spirit and infectious laughter.

Rest in peace, Doug. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
