Donna Ilene Bryson

Donna Ilene Gustaveson Bryson, age 98, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2026. Born on March 11, 1928, in Devil's Slide, Utah, Donna was raised in Coalville, Utah, where she built lifelong roots and cherished memories within her community.

Following a dedicated two-year LDS mission in Illinois and Missouri, Donna returned home and married George Bryson just three weeks later on May 21, 1952. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around family, faith, and boundless love. Over the years, Donna and George opened their hearts and home to many, adopting 6 children and fostering 27 children whom they loved very much.

Throughout her 98 remarkable years, Donna touched the lives of countless individuals with her kindness, warmth, and grace. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Donna is survived by her loving children: Dan (Nicole) Bryson, Rick Bryson, Debi (Bill) Rowland, and Trish (Joe) Dawson; her dear siblings, Correne (Ray [dec.]) Shaw and Verl (Mary) Gustaveson; as well as her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many lives she shaped through adoption and foster care.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 12, at the Coalville Stake Center (40 N. Main St.) from 9:30 AM until 11:15 AM, followed immediately by funeral services at 11:30 AM.
