Diane Arlene Klosner Korby George, born March 15, 1942, in Esko, Minnesota, gracefully departed from this world on June 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of family and love.
Diane was a cherished sister, treasured aunt, devoted mother, and beloved grandmother. Diane was married to Arnold Korby until his passing in 1969. She later married Brian George, with whom she shared many years until their divorce. She leaves behind a loving family - her sister Peggy and her children - Katrina, Ben, Orion, Dylan, and Chad. Her children stand as Diane's legacy of love, hard work, and resilience. Each is a reflection of her. They carry forward her values, doggedness, and undying love.
A product of the University of Minnesota Duluth, Diane's life was dedicated to education and the arts. From helping families find homes in real estate to teaching kids in the Eau Claire School District, her professional footprint was indelible, as a result of her tenacity, hard work, and caring nature.
But it was in music where Diane found her true calling. Her music touched hearts and souls whether it was playing the accordion, hymns in church, or teaching kiddos piano. Teaching piano became not just a profession but a joy and legacy she has left behind.
Diane's life was a geographical mosaic. She lived in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Florida, North Carolina, and finally Wyoming. She got around.
Amid her adventures, Diane enjoyed the simple things of life, meticulously crafting yearly calendars, playing hymns in church to running around in a traveling accordion band, she kept the family together and laughing at her stories. Who could forget her daring dives from the stage during those polka gigs, proof of her boundless spirit and zest for life?
And then there were her ten grandchildren, the ultimate joy of her life. To Diane, their stories were treasures. She loved to hear about what they were doing and who they were becoming.
As we bid farewell to Diane Arlene Klosner Korby George, let us celebrate the music, love, and joy she brought into the world. May her spirit continue to play polka in heaven, forever guiding us with its timeless beat. And a one … and a two …. Cue the eternal bubbles.
