Daniel Heiny

Daniel D. Heiny passed away in Evanston on February 27, 2021.

He was born on November 23, 1944 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin the son of Stanley and Hedwich (Karcheski) Heiny.

He married Gail A. Johnson on May 23, 1969 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.

He was employed at the Wyoming State Hospital from 1981 to 2010.

Daniel was a member of Ducks Unlimited as a committee member and was awarded person of the year in 2006.  He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose for 50 years.  He was a past Governor of the Wisconsin Rapids Lodge. He was also a member of the Hostlers Model Train Club of Ogden, Utah.  He enjoyed rock hounding, model trains and gardening.  Mr. Heiny especially enjoyed working in the garden with his granddaughter Rue.

He will be missed by his wife, Gail; a son Craig Heiny; granddaughers: RaNae and Rue; and his sister Micki Whitrock in Wisconsin.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
