Cynthia Lou Hemker, age 68, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at Evanston Regional Hospital. She was born on March 18, 1957, in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Cindy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend whose life was centered around caring for others. She spent much of her career as a bartender, a role that perfectly reflected her generous spirit and natural ability to connect with people. She was passionate about cooking and baking for those she loved, crafting, enjoying motorcycle rides, and spending time camping outdoors. Cindy was also actively involved in local charities and fundraising events, always willing to give her time and energy to support her community. While she had a giving heart, she also didn't mind collecting her winnings from playing games with friends and family. Known for her loving heart and feisty personality, she leaves behind countless memories filled with love, laughter, strength, and warmth.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Bill Tomasini; her mother, Barbara Jamieson; and her brothers, Ron Tomasini, Don Tomasini, and Billy Tomasini.

She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Hemker; her sons, Justin Hemker (Cheryl Stegall) and Gerald (Alyssia) Hemker; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her father, Dennis (Ruby) Jamieson; her aunts, June (Derrel) Carruth and Kathy (George) Foster; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life and graveside memorial will take place at a later date.
