Cherryl Wood

Cherryl Wood, age 78, of Lyman,  passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 25, 1944, in Green River, Wyoming the daughter of Orvel JW and Relva Chloa (Slaugh) Potter. She married the love of her life Dennis Lamar Wood on August 28, 1963, in Manila, Utah.  They were later sealed in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple on June 25, 1971.

Cherryl was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she loved All Things Grandkids, and ceramics.

She is survived by her children David Wood, Scott Wood (Amber), Terry Wood, Holly Hastings (David), Denise Walters (Tom), Dawn Walker (Bryan); 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; brother Layne Potter; sisters Carma McDowell, Carol Erickson, Glenda Bobek, Shanna Olsen, Enid Ferraud, Gail Despain.  She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis. Parents, daughter-in-law, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Lyman LDS Chapel; visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:45 am prior to services.  Interment will follow in the Lyman City Cemetery
