Charles "Chip" Allen Rowden, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, at the age of 69.
Born on June 21, 1957, Chip lived a life defined by his love for his family, his commitment to those around him, and his strong sense of community. He was a caring and devoted husband to his wife, Virginia, and a loving father who took great pride in his three children, Claresa, Phillip, and Vincent.
Chip's greatest joy was his family. He was a proud grandfather to thirteen grandchildren and a great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren. His family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him, the lessons he taught them, and the love and support he gave so freely.
Chip was also deeply involved in his community and in the organizations and activities that brought people together. He was a member of his local motorcycle club, UMF, as well as the Eagles Club, NRA, darts league, and pool league. Through these friendships and organizations, Chip built lasting connections and became a familiar and valued part of his community.
He will be remembered for his caring heart, steadfast commitment to his family and friends, and the many ways he brought people together. Chip leaves behind a legacy of love, family, friendship, and community that will continue through the generations.
Chip is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia; his mother, Bernie; his daughter, Claresa; his son, Phillip, and daughter-in-law, Carrie; his son, Vincent, and daughter-in-law, Leah; thirteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, sister, and brother.
Though he is no longer with us, Chip's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and community, and deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
A celebration of life will be announced via Facebook at a later date.
