Obituary

On October 13, 2026, Candice Dawn Caves (Moeller) passed away at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, UT, with her family by her side. Candice was born on May 16, 1974, in Roosevelt, UT, to Frances and Arland Moeller. She lived in Duchesne, UT, for her childhood before moving to Evanston, WY, in middle school.

After graduating from Evanston High School in 1992, she worked for Sunridge where she met the man she loved until the day she died, Mark Caves. Together they welcomed Chase Allen Caves in August of 1997, and Destinee Taylor Margene Caves in November of 2001.

Most of Candice’s adult life was spent being a mom, working at Walmart, and her favorite job she had, Fireside Lanes alongside Steve and Cheryl Bowen who meant very much to her. In September of 2009 she welcomed her last child (arguably her favorite) Maddisyn Paige Caves. Candice’s true calling in life arrived later on after adding Tyler (Chase) and Jeremiah (Destinee) to her loving family. Ciana and Allison Caves, Blakelee, Brynleigh, and Bentley Young were her entire world.

Candice is survived by her children Chase (Tyler) Caves, Destinee (Jeremiah) Young, and Maddisyn Caves, her siblings Cory Moeller, Stacy Moeller, and Rick O’Brien, her grandchildren Ciana Caves, Blakelee Young, Allison Caves, Brynleigh Young, and Bentley Young. She was also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, family and friends who all loved her so much. She is preceded in death by many loved ones we have lost, all her grandparents, her parents Frances and Arland Moeller, sister Dana Smith, niece Tiffany Graham and her eternal love Mark Caves. What a lovely reunion it must have been.

You were very loved Mama, Nana, Sister, and Friend. Save us a spotup there, until we see you again.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 on Tuesday, October 20, at Crandall Funeral Home.  Viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Following interment at the Evanston City Cemetery, a celebration of life luncheon will be held at the Evanston Machine Shop.
