Brenda Dee Telford, our beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, completed her life’s mission and passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Brenda was born on July 17, 1961, to Roger S. and Darlene Kennedy Telford. She spent her early childhood years in Randolph, Utah. Because Brenda and her brother, Lane, had special educational needs, their parents moved the family to Morgan, Utah, so they could attend the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind in Ogden.

During Brenda’s first year at the school, she stayed with her Uncle Ross and Aunt Norma Lou Kennedy, who lived closer to the school in Ogden. Their daughter, Sharlene Kennedy Dean, became one of Brenda’s favorite cousins and dearest friends. Brenda and Sharlene shared a special relationship throughout Brenda’s life.

Brenda and her family lived in Morgan for ten years and made many dear friends there. When Brenda was 14, the family moved back to Randolph, where she attended South Rich High School and enjoyed the many friendships and associations she made there. Brenda loved attending plays, musicals, basketball games, and volleyball games, and especially loved supporting her nieces and nephews in all they did. She loved them all, and they loved her.

Although Brenda’s physical limitations made communication difficult throughout much of her life, those who knew her well recognized her intelligence, her strong spirit, and her wonderful sense of humor. She loved to laugh and could light up a room with her big smile. She especially enjoyed having her fingernails painted, being taken on walks, and was always up for fun.

Brenda had a deep love for the scriptures and listened to them daily throughout her life. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was always patient and loving toward those who served and cared for her and never forgot to thank them. Her spirit was strong, and anyone in her presence could feel her love for them and for the Savior.

After Lane and her dad passed away, Brenda moved back to Morgan with her mom to be close to family. Having lived in Morgan before made the move a little easier.

Brenda was blessed with wonderful caregivers throughout her life, and she loved them dearly. Her family is deeply grateful to each person who cared for and served Brenda over the years. Please know that you held a special place in her heart. Your kindness and service to Brenda will always be remembered.

Brenda will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Brenda is survived by her sister, Debra (Les); her brother, Hank (Bonnie); and her ten nieces and nephews: Trista (Reve), Justin (Kathryn), Jared (Timberly), Chet, Tana (Alex), Cambree (Jared), Cassie (Alec), Chase (Jenna), Taylor (Blake), and Tori (Dylan).

She is also survived by 28 great-nieces and great-nephews: Burke, Graham, Rhett, Grey, Brenner, Avery, Barrett, Ellie, Bodie, Briggs, Annie, Gracie, Sammie, Gavin, Miles, Dallin, Aven, Elliott, Warren, Sybil, Ivy, Tess, Harrison, Maren, Nolan, Gwen, Rhiannon, and Daisy.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Roger; her mother, Darlene; and her brother, Lane.

Services to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Randolph chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A visitation will be held prior to the services beginning at 10:30 a.m
