Betty Jo Bell Norris

June 20, 1955 — October 19, 2025

Randolph

On October 19, 2025, Betty Jo Bell Norris thanked her cowboy for the ride, clicked her heels three times and said, “There’s no place like home” as she returned to her Heavenly home where she was welcomed by her parents, brother, sister, nephews, five grandchildren and many friends.

Betty Jo was born June 20, 1955 in Evanston, WY to Jack and JoAnn Bell. As a child she loved riding horses, dancing, water skiing, swimming, and snow skiing. She loved 4H, especially sewing and cooking. She learned the value of hard work from helping her parents and grandparents on their mink and cattle ranches, but she also had lots of fun.

In 1973 Betty Jo graduated from South Rich High School where she was a proud member of the drill team. After that, she attended Weber State College where she graduated with a degree in cosmetology and lifelong friends. Later she had a long successful career as a Mary Kay consultant. She loved helping others look their best.

Betty Jo didn’t know what to think when Perry Lee Norris tracked her down at the mink sheds to ask her for their first date. They quickly fell in love and were married in the Ogden, Utah Temple on August 7, 1976. She wanted little cowboys and cowgirls, and they were blessed with five. Betty Jo always took such good care of her family making sure every need was met. She could be found behind the video camera at every rodeo, wrestling match, basketball, and football game. She will always be our biggest fan.

As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Betty Jo loved Jesus Christ and her Heavenly Father. She taught us all that we are children of God. He loves us and has a plan for each of us. Families are forever. Serve and love one another. She loved working with the primary children, young women and relief society where she made many special friendships and touched many lives for good.

Betty Jo is survived by her loving husband, Perry Lee Norris. Children Jacilyn (Dallas) Keetch, Landen, Lance (Char), Bridget (Tyler) Pugmire, and Lydell (Trista) Norris. Twenty-five grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. Her siblings: Vernon (Sherrie) Bell, Brian (Anelisa) Bell, Lorri (Raymond) Frandsen and Bonnie Norris. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and JoAnn Bell; siblings Bob and Dora Lee Bell; two-nephews, and five grandchildren.

Her yellow brick road was paved with faith, family, friends, fun, and service. Truly, there is no place like your heavenly home. We love you and will miss you until we meet again.
